St Johnsbury Academy

St. Johnsbury Academy combines the resources and facilities of the world's leading boarding schools, with personal attention and an individualized approach to learning found at the best small boarding schools.  We offer an extraordinarily broad curriculum, including 220 courses, 26 Advanced Placement offerings, 40 courses in the fine and performing arts, Engineering, and five languages:  Latin, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese, and ESL.  


Our block schedule provides great flexibility while ensuring each student completes a strong core curriculum.  A resident faculty mentor and strong advisory program guide and encourage you.  Most importantly, for 170 years, we have delivered on our promise to parents and students that we will do our best to ensure, during the time spent within our care, each student is genuinely known, each has demonstrably grown, and each has been inspired.
