This annual fair series, organized by Capstone Vietnam, is an opportunity for parents and students to communicate directly with and learn from representatives of regionally accredited U.S community colleges about 2+2 transfer opportunities (2 years at a community college and 2 years at a four-year college or university culminating in a Bachelor’s degree) and popular high school completion programs (in Washington state only), which enable students to earn a high school diploma and an Associate’s degree at the same time.

This fall fairs are organized in four major cities:

From 15:00 - 19:00 in:

Haiphong: Sunday, 29-9-2013, Nam Cuong Hotel / Tray Hotel - 47 Lach Tray

Hanoi: Tuesday, 1-10-2013, Melia Hotel, 44B Ly Thuong Kiet

Danang: Thursday, 3-10-2013, Novotel Hotel, 36 Bach Dang

Ho Chi Minh City: Saturday, 5-10-2013, Equatorial Hotel, 242 Tran Binh Trong

Vietnam has nearly 20,000 students enrolled at institutions of higher education in the U.S.  Nearly 7 out of every 10 Vietnamese undergraduates were enrolled at a community college last year.

Because of the many advantages and benefits that community colleges have to offer, they have become a popular choice for students who dream of studying in the USA.  They include the following:

  •    No English proficiency requirement (placement test administered after arrival)

  •    2-year Associate degree program, equivalent to the first two years at a four-year college or university

  •    High school completion program in conjunction with a 2-year Associate’s degree  program (for students 16 or older)

  •    Transfer to a four-year school after graduation from a community college to complete the final two years and earn a  Bachelor's degree

  •    Tuition is only 1/2 - 1/3 of university tuition

  •    1-year work opportunity in the U.S after graduation through the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program

The fairs provide the following opportunities for students and parents:

  • Meet with representatives of a variety of community colleges to learn about their programs, admission requirements, the application process, scholarships and financial aid, and transfer opportunities to four-year institutions
  • Attend an information session about U.S. community colleges and their distinguishing features
  • Information about student visas
  • Housing and student life in America
  • Post-graduation OPT employment and transfer opportunities

Special offer for students and parents who attend the StudyUSA Higher Education Fairs are eligible to:

  • receive free advising services (not including visa counseling) for one (1) of the schools represented at the fairs
  • receive free advising services (not including visa counseling) for one (1) of Capstone's partner schools (for those who registered online)
