Founded in 1994 with more than 9 associate degree programs, Cascadia Community College was ranked second among U.S. community colleges in 2007. Cascadia is one the top schools whose students transfer to the University of Washington.
Cascadia Community College shares a campus with the University of Washington-Bothell (UWB), a high-ranking university in Washington. Students can access the facilities of both schools, including the bookstore, technology labs and the new science lab, along with more than 7 million books in the library. In addition, students are encouraged to join campus organizations, and create new clubs and organizations at both schools.
With a small number of international students, Cascadia Community College offers six levels of English classes for international students to improve their skills in writing, reading, grammar, listening and speaking. Cascadia helps students over 16 earn both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree at the same time in its high school completion program.
Cascadia also provides merit-based scholarships for international students.
