The University Abroad Programs (UAPs) are designed to support your studying plan. We will work with you, no matter your English score, to find the level that is best for you.
UAP at Saint Michael’s College is located between the city of Burlington, a city that has been recognized as the #1 Best College Town by Travel + Leisure’s “America’s Best College Towns and the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont, named the #1 Safest State by U.S. News & World Report’s 2017 Public Safety ranking.
You will benefit from the academic expertise of one of the oldest ESL pathway programs in the United States and the innovative advising and support of University Abroad staff. Also, you will study alongside other international students and American students in classes taught by Saint Michael’s College professors, all while earning valuable credits to complete your degree.
Currently, the University Abroad Programs offers Merit scholarship in the range of $8,000-$17,000/year for outstanding students.

Comfortable stay with high privacy
All University Abroad students are housed in single dormitory rooms in a shared suite. Each suite has two bathrooms, a shared living area, and a small kitchen area. On each floor there is a full kitchen and a study area. Laundry facilities are located in each dormitory building.
Simple and free admission
Admission to the University Abroad Programs is simple and free. You must complete the one-page application form and meet the following requirements:
- High school completion or equivalency
- A 75 average from high school with no failing courses
- A valid passport
- Qualifying English test score (for Elite, Premium, and Advanced levels)
Safe studying zone
After successfully complete the University Abroad Programs, you are guaranteed placement in one of the IEC’s elite private universities to continue your education: Emerson College, Muhlenberg College, Quinnipiac University, Saint Michael’s College and Washington & Jefferson College. Merit scholarships of up to $12,000/year are also available for top-performing students entering these schools.
